Finances

We are entirely funded by grants and donations. Here is some info about how we have been financed.

2011-2012
To administer the charity and pay for all running costs we now need approximately £4,000 per month, totalling £48,000 over the year. We have a funding campaign going to raise this money.

2010-2011
For the financial year that ended in March 2011 we successfully bid for £25,000 from the Stronger and Safer Communities Fund, administered by the Safe City Partnership. This was about two thirds of our total costs and was vital to help us get established as a charity. We also received £1,000 from the Square Balloon night club, in recognition of the work of our patrols. The rest of our income came from individual donations and support from local churches.

2009-2010
When we were getting started we received grants from Local and Central Government, from Solent University and Hampshire Police. Each street pastor also tried to raise funds to cover the costs of training, uniforms and other equipment we use on the streets. We also received donations directly from businesses and individuals. The remaining third of our overall income came from local churches.
