School pastors provide uniformed patrols in groups of 2 or 3 for an hour or so in locations requested by the school. This could be by the school gates or in places where young people congregate. Their role is to be an out of school friend, to provide support and be a positive adult presence. All volunteers will be fully trained and readily identifiable through distinctive uniforms. References and enhanced CRB checks will be necessary. Depending on availability of volunteers the school pastors will be around at the beginning (7.45 – 8.45am) or the end (2.30 – 3.30pm) of the school day. The number of patrols per week will also be dependent upon the number of volunteers. ![]() |
