Street Pastors are all volunteers from local churches who care about people and enjoying being out on the streets, joining in the fun.

All of the Street Pastors have been through a training course to teach them how to stay safe, protect others and to acquire some useful skills, such as basic first aid.

Our youngest volunteer is 20 and the oldest had his 82nd birthday in 2011. We are an equal mix of men and women.

We each give up one evening a month to patrol on the streets from 10pm to 4am, responding to any problems or requests for assistance, clearing up glass, and offering help to anyone we meet. Many of the Street Pastors also turn up for another night each month to pray for those who are going out that night.

Our motivation for volunteering is that we want to care for people we meet on the streets, and practically demonstrate the love of Jesus to them.
